Tis the Season for Medical Procedures and Manual Labor
Usually I've posted a Christmas blog by now, but this year I've been too darn busy. We found out my husband, Randy who was getting ready for hernia surgery, also needed shoulder surgery on his rotator cuff. Not a huge deal EXCEPT we were not even half way through a DIY flooring project we'd started in our basement.
Randy would be in a sling for at least six weeks after rotator cuff surgery. We had about a week in-between hernia recovery and shoulder surgery to finish our floor. During which time he couldn't lift more than the hammer he used to pound in our flooring. Guess who got to carry down those 50 pound sacks of leveling concrete?!

Halloween Halloween Halloween
Someone asked if I’d decorated for #Halloween yet. Hahahaha (Insert my evil laugh here.) I grew up down South. After Labor Day day I put away the white and bring out the witch. The Halloween witch- the witch that is me - is here for y'all all year long.

Aftermath of Hurricane Helene: Rye Whiskey Blues

"Rye Whiskey" is one of the songs he recorded and sent his Dad a while back for Father's Day. Jordan could probably use a drink about now, but if this group is drunk it’s from exhaustion! Hurricane Helene: Marked Safe in Canton, NC!
My son Jordan aka Luci to his Asheville, NC friends. Charismatic, talented and the reason I'll be bald one day. To know him is to love him. If you know him, you know he'll be fine living without power and roughing it for weeks...as long there's music. Unlike his mama. I need cake! Might have been doing a little stress eating of late. 😜
So grateful to know he and his friends are safe after Hurricane Helene hit Western North Carolina.

Cotten Candy Skies and Lake Tree Ents
Our tree Ent took me a month of Sunday's to do and a harrowing afternoon for my husband to hang! Our Lake Tree Ent is now gazing over the lake. It's beautiful in East TN this time any time of year. I snapped this pic in the late afternoon right before sunset. My great nephew calls this a cotton candy sky.
