About a year ago I was contacted by a publishing house in Poland regarding translation rights for my children's book
Nuclear Power: How a Nuclear Power Plant Really Works! I'm excited to announce that we recently came to an agreement and the book is being translated to Polish.
The book will used by Poland's Ministry for Climate and Environment as part of the "Polish Atom" program. I'm thrilled as this means what I affectionately refer to as my "Nuke Book" will be used for the very thing I envisioned it would be when I wrote it.
Poland doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving the way we do here, and I explained to the editor I've been working with that I'll be taking a holiday this next week. Which reminded me of this promotional illustration/slogan I used several years back when Instagram was still new to all of us.
It also reminded me of an illustration we DID NOT use in my nuke book. I still laugh about it. My illustrator was young, childless, and more to the point- had no experience dealing with parents! Lucky for him- this children's author (imperfect parent) found it and still finds it hilarious!
Happy Thanksgiving! Pass the Rat Turkey.
